The detailed incident explaining the reason why GoMechanic is the worst Car Servicing platform
The incident happens as such. For some mishap, my car windshield was broken. And I tried to book a service from the GoMechanic app for the windshield replacement. The service price was shown as 3780 INR and due to some offer, I got a 250 discount on top of it. To my surprise when I booked the service there was no confirmation on the pickup or the day before the pickup. On the day after a few minutes, I got a call from the service buddy they assigned telling me that with this price the windshield could not be replaced. And since the price of glass has increased they can not do it.
Last time after escalating one lady handling escalations called me and gave me the number so that I can reach out to her in case of any issues in the future, but she never responded to my phone calls when I tried to call her either. This is yet another reason why GoMechanic is the worst car servicing platform as their associates never respond in time.

When I asked for the reason why that is not updated in the app, there was no response. And they reiterated and confirmed that they can not do it at this price. And I will have to pay around 1500 INR extra. To which I denied and the order was closed stating that I asked for cancellation. After the incident, I followed up with a few friends of mine who use the app and they told me the same thing. The price of the service is showing them as well the same cost as 3780 INR. Then I booked the service again and I got the call again stating this time that even if it is listed as 3780 INR, I will have to pay the cost as 4500 and it will have to be paid through Google Pay or PhonePe.
Since I had no other option I had to go for this and I told fine I will pay the extra. Then they picked up the Car and got the service done with scratches here and there. My question is, under what capacity are these people operating? If the cost is genuine then why can it not be updated in the app and why has it not been done? Ever since this happened I feel the service buddies are gods. Whatever they say the same amount has to be paid, otherwise you cannot get the service done. Is there anything ethical about this company operating like this?

It is my humble request. No matter what they try to sell you, never go for it. They are going to screw you for your money and your beloved car in ways you can not even imagine.
