In this article, I am going to share how you can remove the activate windows watermark without the product key. This is not illegal as we are not using any product key generator or anything. However, we are just disabling the watermark. Using the steps I share below you should be able to remove the activate windows watermark without the product key. And use clean Windows. As you might know, if we do not activate windows then a watermark appears in the right-hand corner. In order to remove the activate windows watermark without the product key you will have to follow the below steps. Using them you should be able to get a clean windows screen without the watermark.
Steps to remove the activate windows watermark without the product key
- Go to the search bar of your Windows. Depending on which version of Windows you are using it might be at different places.
- Once you are there, search for CMD and open it. However, make sure that you open CMD as an administrator. To open CMD as an administrator you can right-click on the CMD icon and choose run as administrator from the menu.
- If CMD opened with administrator privilege you should be able to see Administrator on the top of the window. If it did not then try and open it as Administrator again.
- Once you are in the screen type in the below command and hit enter. Once done close the screen and restart your PC. That will do the trick.
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF
With this neat process, you will be able to get rid of the activate windows watermark. I am not proposing you should not use Windows without a product key. But at times if you have not activated your Windows then you could use this. So that the watermark is removed. And it does not annoy you. Once you are able to please make sure you purchase a key and activate your Windows so that you get all the latest patches and updates.
